Port Blair, April 18: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,12,828 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,409 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 10,855 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 15,795.

Port Blair, April 14: The Hon’ble Lt Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands & Vice Chairman Islands Development Agency, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) today led the islanders in paying rich tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Architect of Indian Constitution on his 131st birth anniversary. At a solemn function held at the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar near the main entrance of Ambedkar Auditorium, the Lt Governor paid floral tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

A&N Administration has Provided a Single Window for Film Shooting Permissions: Anchipaka
Port Blair, April 14: The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS today inaugurated the office of Prince Film, at RGT Road, the agency which has collaborated with Netflix for the series Kalapani.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Suneel Anchipaka said that the Andaman & Nicobar Administration wishes to encourage film shooting in Andamans. For this, a single window system has been put in place for the for applying for permissions, which otherwise was a tedious process earlier. The DCSA lauded the efforts of Prince Film for taking the initiative to get Netflix into Andaman for the shoot.

Port Blair, April 14: In order to provide an opportunity to budding artists to showcase their art works, a day-long Art Camp was organized in the premises of the National Memorial Cellular Jail on 14th April 2022 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by Kala Kendra – A&N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration.
